Eldeane Marie Murphy

December 19, 1922- September 28, 2010

A Mass of Catholic burial for Eldeane Marie Murphy, 87, of Carson City will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Carson City. She passed away on Sept. 28, 2010, at her home in the presence of her three beloved daughters.

Mrs. Murphy was born in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Lester Taylor and Irene Gold Taylor on Dec. 19, 1922. She moved to Carson City when she was 13 years old and graduated from Carson High School with the class of 1940.

She married Dan Murphy on Sept. 14, 1944 in Carson City.

Mrs. Murphy worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Irene Taylor, her husband Dan C. Murphy, her brother Max Taylor, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Oren and Margaret Walker and her brother- in-law and sister-in-law Don and Helen Baker.

Among her survivors are her daughters Colleen Glover (Bruce), Susie Kastens (Steve), and Sheila Banister; grandchildren Kelly Woodward (Chris), Dan Kastens, John Glover (Kristi), Cassie Kastens, Murph Glover and Ali Banister; and great-grandchildren Jordan Woodward, Alyssa Woodward, Gracie Woodward, Emma Glover and Ty Glover.

She will be remembered by her family for her sense of humor, quick wit, admiration of the beauty of nature, unending gift of love, elegant grace and great Halloween parties.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
