The Wild Violet: The Arizona Joe Company presented for the first time in Carson the humorous melo-drama, "The Wild Violet." Arizona Joe, the world renowned crack shot, does splendid shooting suspended from the branch of a tree and splits an apple in some very difficult positions. W.J. O'Brien is a clever comedian. His many imitations on the violin, especially that of making it talk, is something wonderful. Admission 50 cents.

70 YEARS AGO

Major Max Fleischman announces a contribution of $5,000 to Nevada Museum fund to proceed in the future with plans for renovating the mint and having new floors laid. The Nevada Legislature appropriated $5,000 for the state museum at the 1939 session which was required as the purchase price.

50 YEARS AGO

Photo caption: Mike Griffin powers his way into a host of Fallon tacklers to the goal line. The referee raises his hands to signal the score, the Senators first Friday night against the Green Wave. Carson won 14-6.
