Carson builder working on Reno project

Shaheen Beauchamp Builders LLC, of Carson City announced last week that it will renovate the interior of City National Bank branch in Reno.

Shaheen also will help rebrand the existing bank branch with the City National Bank image. The work is being performed at 5470 Kietzke Lane in Reno.

Bank names new head of Nevada market

Scott Emmer was named state president for Mutual of Omaha Bank's Nevada market, the company announced last week.

Based in Las Vegas, Emmer is responsible for leading the strategic growth and management of Mutual of Omaha Bank's statewide operations in Nevada, which includes seven community bank locations in Las Vegas, Reno, Laughlin and Carson City.

Emmer, a longtime Nevada resident, most recently served as senior vice president, commercial banking manager and senior lender at Northern Trust Bank.

Energy director to be featured at next NBC breakfast

Nevada Business Connections will host its next breakfast meeting 8 a.m. Oct. 20 and will feature Jim Groth, director of the State Energy Office, and Len Semas, publisher of the Sierra Sage magazine.

Door open at 7:30 a.m. at the Atlantis Casino in Reno. The meeting is scheduled for one hour.

Commercial services manager appointed

Vince Telles has been appointed to manager of the commercial banking services group in Nevada, City National Bank announced last week.

In his expanded role, Telles will also manage Northern Nevada's commercial banking responsibilities, which includes the Reno-Sparks, Carson City, Minden-Gardnerville and Lake Tahoe areas.
