Katherine L. Kallas, 89, died Sept. 29, 2010, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 26, 1921, in Dennison, Iowa, to Archie and Sarah Aldrich. She is survived by husband Sam Kallas; sons Richard Kallas, Ron Hogan and Ray Hogan; daughter Alice Johnson; grandchildren Monica Howk, Corina Eiler, Danny Hogan, Richard Kallas and Ben Kallas; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
