On Tuesday, October 5, 2010 Mary Thelma (Lawrence) Gray was called home to be with her sweetheart and husband of 56 years, Junior Lee Gray, after she passed away suddenly from complications related to a heart attack. They were married for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on November 22, 1950.

Mary was a loving wife and a dedicated mother of four boys. As the only woman amongst a family of men, she avidly supported each one of them in their many sports. Go Team! Mary was a woman of many talents. She found joy in baking for those around her. She had a great love for music and the piano and was a compassionate listener. To be around Mary was to be loved. At the age of 80 Mary was still volunteering at the elementary school and the senior citizen center. Mary served faithfully in many LDS church callings that included ward music coordinator, dedicated visiting teacher, and Stake Relief Society President.

She and Lee enjoyed serving a two-year mission for the church and working in the temple. Mary's true mission in this life, however, was her family - always taking the time to share in each family member's joys as well as their sorrows and letting them know how much they were loved. As a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend she will be greatly missed by all of us.

Mary is survived by her four sons: Jerry (Jan) Gray, Steve (Marilyn) Gray, Paul (Laurie) Gray, Jeff (Tonia) Gray, and stepdaughter Linda (Rex) Ginn, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Harold and Thelma Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints humanitarian fund or your local charity.

A viewing will be held Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, UT. Another short viewing will be held preceding the funeral on Monday, October 11, 2010 from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. after which the funeral will begin at 1:00. Monday's viewing and funeral are located at the LDS church, 700 North 500 West, American Fork, Utah.
