State Route 4 in Alpine to close

South Tahoe Towing and the U.S. Forest Service will salvage a wrecked tractor with trailer over the embankment at the Cadillac Curve in Alpine County Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Full-highway closure of State Route 4 in both directions from Ebbett's Pass to the junction of Highway 89 and Highway 4 will be affected.

The lane closures are necessary to ensure the safety of motorists and workers in the area. Motorists and trucks should consider an alternate route. Highway advisory radios and changeable message signs will be activated to assist motorists.
