FALLON - Police continue to search for an adult male who robbed the Fallon branch of U.S. Bank on Friday afternoon at about 2:50 p.m.

Fallon Police Chief Kevin Gehman said officers spent Saturday developing leads.

According to the FPD, the suspect entered the bank and approached the clerk demanding that she place money in a bag.

The suspect was wearing Wrangler blue jeans and a navy blue-colored hooded sweatshirt. His face was concealed with a baseball style hat (pulled down) and a bandanna.

FPD said the suspect exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and returned to his car that was parked in the northwest section of the Walmart parking lot. Both the FPD and Churchill County Sheriff's Office have been combing the area looking for the suspect.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a faded blue Mercury Cougar, believed to be a mid-1980s model year. The vehicle has the passenger front hubcap but is missing the passenger rear hubcap.

If individuals can identify the vehicle or if they noticed this vehicle in the Walmart parking lot between 2:40 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. and recognize the driver, they are encouraged to call the Fallon Police Department at 423-2111.
