Girl Scouts make

a difference

Carson Tahoe Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is in need of housing for several feral cat colonies in the area, and local Girl Scouts are getting involved.

"We are very excited to have inmate volunteers from the prison to build these houses for us," said Susan Paul, president of the group. "Delaney Mott and Lexi Reid from Girl Scout Troop 553 are working toward their Silver Award and will be painting and decorating these houses once the inmates have completed construction."
