The Capital City Community Band will open its 32nd concert season with a free old-fashioned band concert at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 30 in the Nevada State Railroad Museum on South Carson Street.
The concert coincides with the annual Nevada Day Steam Up, so visitors can ride the train and hear a concert.
The concert is free and open to the public. It will feature a variety of music, sure to please everyone, said conductor Richard Doede. Children are especially invited to attend with their parents.
