The Reno Gazette says that Senator Sharon and Thomas Wren were cloistered together at Reno. Not significant except for the fact that Wren opposes Sharon for Senator. He has lost his ability to open his sack in fear that Fair will open one much bigger. The Ralston suit is having a demoralizing effect upon his canvas. People say he resembles a man who is anxious to take a bath, but pauses because the water is too cold. It will surprise no one if he withdraws from the Republican party leaving the contest to Tritle, Wren and Woodburn.

Officers in Battle Mountain have arrested a man they suspect as being the leader of a trio of dynamiters who purchased explosive to blow up the Times building in Los Angeles.
70 YEARS AGO
A detachment of civil conservation employees will set up headquarters in the old armory building next week. About 50 boys from Antelope camp in Coleville will be housed there. Their first project will be build a telephone line from Carson and Lake Tahoe for fire control purposes.
50 YEARS AGO
Enrollment in Ormsby county schools has continued a steady climb to 1,841. The high school now has 515 students.
20 YEARS AGO
Twelve area residents, including two educators, have been booked in city jail on charges of engaging in lewd sexual conduct at the public men's restrooms at two city parks.
10 YEARS AGO
Douglas and Washoe counties were in a nationwide program to distribute free gunlocks until police discovered they can accidentally spring open. Four hundred thousand locks were distributed before the problems were discovered.
