Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• A 23-year-old certified nursing assistant from Carson City was arrested at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday on Castle Way on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.
• A 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 6:07 a.m. Wednesday on a Washoe warrant for failure to appear in court on obstructing and drug paraphernalia charges. Bail was set at $1,920.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
• A woman reported at 11 a.m. her ex-husband was missing and had left a suicide note behind. Aerosquadron flew over Brunswick Canyon in a search for the man's car but came up empty. Police checked his credit cards and found he used them to rent a room in Bridgeport and eat at In-N-Out in Minden. The search was suspended.
• A JAC bus was involved in an accident with two other vehicles at 1:52 p.m. in the 200 block of Bath Street. No one was injured.
• Two people were detained and cited for "dine and dash" at the Carson Nugget at 9:48 p.m.
• A Carson City deputy spotted a wild horse with two broken legs "stumbling across the highway" just east of Deer Run Road at 11:21 p.m. The horse was put down and Thursday morning the carcass was collected from the roadside.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:
• Report of an unoccupied silver two-door Honda sedan found rolled over behind Truck Inn in Fernley at 7:53 a.m.
• Misdemeanor arrest on Main Street in Dayton at 4:46 p.m.
• Battery report in the 100 block of Dallas Lane in Fernley at 4:14 p.m.
• Unrelated to the earlier report, another call in the 100 block of Dallas Lane at 7:44 p.m. of a person shooting a dog. An arrest was made.
