Explain your background and how this qualifies you for the position you are seeking.

I am a four term state Assemblywoman, having represented Washoe county from 1998-2006. I have over 30 endorsements from nationwide conservative individuals and organizations, including: the Club for Growth, Gun Owners of America, the TEA Party Express, Citizens United, and conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

Job creation is the most important issue facing the nation and our state at this time. The federal government needs to cut taxes and spending to foster economic growth and job creation.

Why should voters choose you over other candidates?

I have the proven track record of conservative principles. As a courageous act, I took on then-Gov. Kenny Guinn in 2003 when he tried to increase our taxes by a record-setting $836 million. I sued the legislature when they tried to suspend the state Constitution to pass those taxes. In Washington, I will be a tireless advocate for the taxpayers of Nevada.

What are the most important issues that you would address if elected?

In Nevada and across our nation, we need strong leaders that stand up for our families and our communities. We need leaders committed to providing our children with high quality education, to making sure more families have access to affordable health care, to safeguarding benefits for seniors and veterans, and to keeping our neighborhoods safe.

We live in serious times and we face serious challenges. Our state deserves leaders with the experience and determination to get the job done. I invite you to work.

Why should voters choose you over the other candidate?

Growing up in Searchlight, my parents taught me timeless lessons about the value of hard work, the importance of helping those in need, and never giving up. Throughout my life - from my days as Henderson City Attorney to my current role as Assistant Leader of the Senate Democrats - I have used these principles to guide my actions.
