BAWN announces new members

The Builder's Association of Western Nevada announced its new members added to the association in the third quarter:

NNDA hosting breakfast panel on innovation

The Northern Nevada Development Authority will host a breakfast meeting on Oct. 28 featuring a panel of speakers who will address how to make innovation profitable.

The event starts at 7:30 a.m. inside the Carson Nugget, 507 N. Carson St.

Speakers include Jim Groth, director of the Nevada State Office of Energy, Roger Jacobson, of the Desert Research Institute Energy Program, and Stephen Olson, president and CFO of ElectraTherm. Patty Wade of Wade Consulting will moderate the discussion.

Cost to attend is $20 for NNDA members and $35 for guests.

Dayton real estate agent completes certification

Jody Foley of Coldwell Banker Best Sellers completed the e-PRO Technology Certification Program offered by the National Association of Realtors.

The course trains Realtors how to assist customers in the purchase or sale of a home. The course includes lessons on social networking and online marketing.

"The real estate industry has undergone a fundamental change over the past several years," Foley said. "It only makes sense to work with a Realtor who is up to speed on today's technology."

Foley, a Realtor since 1987, also is a member of the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors and the Nevada Association of Realtors. She is also a Certified Residential Specialist, graduate of the Realtor Institute, Senior Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyer Representative and a Certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist.


Hospitality employment firm opens in Reno

Patrice & Associates, a hospitality industry employment search firm, announced last week the opening of its new office in Reno at 10580 N. McCarran Blvd. #115-273.

It will serve Reno, Sparks, Carson City and the surrounding area.

Nevada Hypnotherapy moves to new location

Nevada Hypnotherapy has relocated to 377 Nevada St., and is teaming up with Essential Kneads Wellness Spa.

Nevada Hypnotherapy, which opened in 2009, is owned and operated by Vaughn Braeuninger.

"I thought locating my business inside a wellness center just made sense," Braeuninger said. "We focus on stress reduction, it's easy and its fun and the changes are effortless and permanent."

Braeuninger said hypnosis can be used for pain control to performance enhancement to weight loss, among other things.
