Thanks, Carson, for support of athletes

The Carson area is generous and supportive of local athletes. That recently included our son, Timothy Ply, who sought sponsors for a trip to a baseball scouting camp in Arizona. Reader appreciates talent at local coffee shop

Saturday night (Oct. 9) my husband and I went to Comma Coffee for an incredible evening of laid back soul entertainment to listen to June Joplin (owner) sing jazz with an amazing jazz band. We have been there to eat and have coffee, which is wonderful, but never for evening entertainment. There was a diversified group of people, from young to old, no smoking and just a lot of fun. June's voice is one that will touch your soul. I have known her for years and had no idea of her amazing talent.

Words cannot explain this experience except that it was truly unforgettable. If you haven't been, go. The entertainment changes weekly and it is in the local Nevada Appeal calendar. June, you are truly a blessing and a gift to our community.
