Carson City

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Fight report in the 1800 block of North Stewart Street at 2:24 a.m.

• A bank reported at 6:51 a.m. one of their customers said he was going to pour gasoline on himself and light himself on fire in front of the bank if the bank didn't release his Veteran's Administration check. Police found the man, who said he made the threat to get someone's attention.

• Attempted break-in overnight at Midas Muffler.

• A passerby reported seeing a school bus driver picking a child up off the seat and slamming her back down at 9:21 a.m. at Como Street and South Carson Meadows Drive. A deputy reviewed the video surveillance from the bus and saw the driver attempting to put a seat belt on a handicapped child. As the driver did so, the student grabbed the driver's scarf, prompting the driver to quickly stand up and remove her scarf. "This movement, looking from the outside, could easily be perceived as physical abuse," the police report states. "At no time while reviewing this video did I see (the driver) treat the child in an abusive manner."

• Accident in the 400 block of East William Street at 9:38 a.m.

• Battery report in the 2300 block of Carriage Crest Drive at 8:42 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Misdemeanor arrest on Sierra Street in Fernley at 10:10 a.m.

• Warrant arrest on Lahontan Street in Silver Springs at 11:52 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report at 8:37 a.m. of a German shepherd, chained without water to a fence on Cercle De La Cerese.

• Report at 9:25 a.m. of potbellied pigs getting loose on Colt Drive.

• Caller reported a horse appeared to be stuck in a horse trailer on Lafond Drive at 4:42 p.m. The caller said they were worried about the welfare of the horse. They were unsure if the horse was forgotten or just couldn't get out.
