Every senior at Carson High School completes a senior project, which requires a research paper, a project, a portfolio and a formal presentation.

The project requires a learning stretch and a minimum 15 hours of work. The CHS staff is proud of all the seniors' projects and wishes them well as they embark on this endeavor.

This week's Senior Project Spotlight student is Amanda Slabaugh. Amanda is knitting warm clothing for the homeless.

To read more about Amanda's project, visit the Senior Project page on the Carson High School website at carsonhigh.com.

Mole Day in science is celebrated at 6:02 a.m. on Oct. 23. It stands for a quantity in science that represents one mole of anything - hence, 6.02 x 10 to the 23 power.

On Oct. 22, because the 23rd is a Saturday, 16 students met at 6:02 a.m. to celebrate Mole Day.

Mole joke: What does Avogardro teach his math students?

Moletiplication.

This is a global celebration.
