Offense

The Senators piled up 572 yards, one of their biggest outputs in the Blair Roman Era. Dylan Sawyers (284 yards) and Connor Beattie (151 yards) were sensational as was the offensive line.

If Beattie can put up anywhere close to these numbers the rest of the season, team won't be able to focus solely on Sawyers. The only reason for the minus were the two interceptions that quarterback Trey Jensen threw in the first half. Neither was a well-thrown ball. The decision making has to get better. Jensen did make a nice toss to Parker for a late score.

Defense

This unit was very average through the first three quarters. The unit did hold the Panthers scoreless in the final quarter, and Beattie said it was the team's conditioning that made the difference. Carson looked horrible on its first defensive series when NV scored thanks to quarterback Tim Herman's two nice runs. The Senators got gashed on one series in the third quarter when the Panthers kept the ball on the ground. This grade would have been better if Carson defenders could hang on to the ball. Carson should have had four or five interceptions, and the defensive line wasn't able to get consistent pressure

Special teams

Carson gave up a 65-yard kickoff return to open the game. The coverage did get better after that. Austin Pacheco was perfect on extra points, but only got the ball into the end zone once on kickoffs. He can be a huge weapon if he can get touchbacks. It's tough for even the best high school teams to consistently put together 80-yard scoring drives
