LAS VEGAS (AP) - A Clark County Fire Department captain has pleaded guilty in federal court of trying to entice a minor into sex.
The Las Vegas Sun said 56-year-old Martin Vohwinkel will be sentenced Dec. 17 after authorities say he tried to arrange sex with a 14-year-old girl through an online classified ad.
Vohwinkel was arrested by Henderson police Feb. 26 after an undercover detective arranged a meeting with him in a parking lot.
The Department of Justice says Vohwinkel faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and lifetime supervised release.
