Many helpers made blanket drive a success

Many thanks to all who donated blankets to our drive sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cleaning was greatly appreciated, which was provided by Economy Wash & Dry on Hot Springs Road. The donations were delivered to Tahoe Youth and Family Services and will be distributed to the homeless and couch surfers in need.

Thank you again for your generosity. "Charity is the pure love of Christ," Moroni 7:47.

Keep up the good work, WNC softball

I just want to say to the wnc softball team, keep up the good wonderful hard-playing job you are doing. You are the best. I mean it to the bottom of my heart. It does not matter to me win or lose, I support you very much. To Leah, head coach and her assistant coaches, good job. To Cassie Vondrak and Jamie Klopatek, wonderful pitching, doing a wonderful job.

Pet adoption senior project a success

Thanks to a number of local supporters, my senior project to assist our local Carson Tahoe SPCA adoption day was a success.

Susan Paul (head of the Carson Tahoe SPCA) gave up her job to serve homeless animals and has been very successful at it. Michael Hohl Subaru was extremely helpful with letting us use their dealership and helping set up the event. The whole staff was very friendly, accommodating and helped make the day a success. Carson City Deputy Sheriff Dan Ochsenschladrug and Teddy's drug sniffing demonstrations really brought the day over the top. Last, I would like to say a special thanks to: Benson's Feed and Tack, McCoy's Offroad Center, Sun King Window Tint, Sierra Hearth and Home, and Bartosz Construction for sponsoring cages and donating to the Carson Tahoe SPCA. Their donations will really make a big difference in the lives of animals in need. Finally thank you to the families that opened their hearts and homes to Einstein, Dixie and Cassidy. Thanks to all of you!
