John Vandervort, Buzz Wagner, Walter Aster and Rion Causey combined for a 116 to win Silver Oak Senior Men's Club 4-man Cha Cha Cha tourney held on April 5.
Michael gard, Chris Gottschalk, Dave Mills and David Siefert were second at 121, and Paul Ford, Bob Lewis, Walter Ratchford and Alex Talmant were third at 123.
Scoville was closest to the hole on No. 6 and No. 14, Aster won the aard on No. 12, Verne Rosse won for No. 7 and Chris Gottschalk won for No. 2
McLean wins stroke
play at CVGC
Bob Mclean finished in first place in the individual stroke play event at Carson Valley Golf Club last weekend.
McLean won the A Flight with a 64, while Russ Coons was next at 66 and Ed Umphries was third at 68.
Joe Morrison won the B Flight with a 67, a shot better than Gary Carston. Augustine Martinez, Brick Ludington, Bruce Sandford and Ewald Burmeister tied for third at 70.
Gil Causton and Neil Bain tied for the top honors in the C Flight with a 66, while John Guidicatti and Paul Finan tied for second with a 67,
Ludington was closes to the hole on No. 1.
Johnson, Garcia win
low net honors
Kevin Johnson and Marc Garcia won their respective flights in Silver Oak's Monthly Masters event.
Johnson won Flight 1 with a 78, while Jim Fuller, Larry Johnson and Jim Silsby tied for second with a 79.
Garcia won Flight 2 with a 69, nine shots better than Craig Luce. Robert Barkwill was third with an 82.
Johnson won closest to the hole for his shot on No. 2.
Suh, Penrod win
Tip & Tuck event
Chang S Suh and J.P. Penrod were the Silver Oak Tip & Tuck winners from the April 3 event.
Suh shot a net 69 to win Flight A, while Kevin Johnson was a stroke behind. Jim Sapien was third with a 74. Jim Fuller and Jim Silsby tied for fourth with a 78.
Penrod won Flight B with an 80, a stroke better than Marc Garcia. Charles Serafine was third with an 82, while Frank Maricich was fourth with an 87.

Jack Parish and Robert Haddix of Unintentional Defense are running 1-2 in the 6-7 tier with 39 and 30 points, respectively. Joshua Stewart of Alt F4 leads the 4-5 tier with 32 points, five ahead of Julie Hunter of Unintentional Defense and kenneth Collins of Big Dogs. Josiah Toledo of Rack Fink leads the 2-3 tier wth 30 points, 11 better than Jerrika Wendt of Jerry's Kids.
In the Black Widow Division, Jerry's Shooters have a 48-45 lead over Squeeze play. Don Allred of Good Guys & bad Guys lads the 6-7 tier 41-38 over Eric Dereng of Jerry's Shooters. Mike Snoiddy of Cues Yer Daddy has a 34-30 lead over Robert Bogue of Jerry's Shooters. Rachel Hurt of Cues Yer Daddy leads Caren Adkins of The Spoke 27-24 in the 2-3 tier.
In the Comstock Division, Yabba Dabba Cue has a 991-970 lead over Twisted Stix With Attitudes. Don Allred of Rack Busters leads the 6-9 tier with 40 pints, eight better than Chris Wood of the Rattlers. poker night fundraiser set
The Carson City Pop Warner annual poker night fundraiser is 6 p.m. May 14, with the game beginning at 7 p.m. at the Plaza Conference Center, 211 E. Ninth St.
The fundraiser includes Texas Hold 'em with cash prizes for first and second place winners.
Cost is $20 for entrance and food or $40 for additional buy-ins will be available throughout the night.
