Learn more about God's love at a free worship service at 10 a.m. Aug. 20, at the Carson City Community Center, at Roop and Williams streets. The topic is "Giving and Receiving God's Love." During this one-hour service, a skilled facilitator will give a brief talk, followed by readings, a small-group discussion and a short contemplation.

Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church will host a free gospel concert on 7 p.m. Aug. 23 featuring Ernie Couch & Revival.

EC&R has worked in various genres of music ranging from George Beverly Shea to George Jones, from Petra to Boots Randolph, Jake Hess and James Blackwood.

Internationally renowned Christian speaker and author Dr. Tony Campolo presents "An Evening of Hope"7-9 p.m. Sept. 2-4 at Hope lutheran Church of the Sierra, 930 Julie Lane, South Lake Tahoe.
