Brian Benson, "The Guitar Man," will be at the 9:30 a.m. service on Jan. 8 at Unity of the Sierra, at the Carson Valley Bridge Center, 110 Ann St., in Carson City.

Benson is a multiple-award-winning author and filmmaker, speaker, actor, musician, entrepreneur, workshop facilitator, finisher of more than 50 triathlons, including four Ironman distance races, cross-country bicyclist, inspirational poet and advocate of helping others be the best that they can be.

Benson said he feels he was "put here to be a living example for others to learn how to listen to their heart and step out of their comfort zones so that they can activate and cultivate their true inner gifts."

Benson recently finished a movie project which he wrote, produced and acted in called "Guitar Man." It was filmed in downtown Reno. The movie was written by Benson with the idea of sharing the messages that we all have a lot in common and that our true gifts reside within ourselves.
