The topic for the next Leisure Hour Club meeting is "Fighting Drugs and Gangs - An update." The speakers will be Partnership Carson City Executive Director Kathy Bartosz and Carson City District Attorney Neil Rombardo.
The dinner is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carson City Nugget, and reservations are required.
Bartosz will review the changing roles of the organization, and the group's current priorities such as fighting substance abuse in the Carson City area. Rombardo will focus on what is happening in the city to address violence and gang issues. Both will identify ways for members of the community to become more involved in the organization's initiatives.

The Leisure Hour Club has been a continuous organization in Carson City since 1896 and now holds their monthly meetings at the Carson City Nugget.
