Wolf Pack's Story named WAC Player of Week

Malik Story of the Nevada Wolf Pack was named the Western Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

It is the first career WAC Player of the Week award for Story.

Story, a sophomore guard from Pasadena, Calif., scored a career-high 29 points in the Wolf Pack's 84-76 victory Saturday night at San Jose State.

Story's 29 points are the most scored in a single game by a Wolf Pack player this season. He made 11-of-21 shots from the field, including three baskets from three-point range. He also made 4-of-5 free throws.

Story also dished out a career-high six assists and grabbed four rebounds and two steals. He scored 21 of his 20 points after halftime, including three in overtime.
