Stabbing suspect charged with checkbook theft

A woman who pleaded guilty in December to stabbing her boyfriend's ex-lover in a Carson City casino parking lot in October has now been accused of stealing a checkbook in September.

Lynsey Kieffer, 21, allegedly confessed to deputies on Dec. 28 to stealing two checkbooks from an unknown victim in Carson City and giving it to another person who admitted to using the checkbook to make phony payments.

Bail was set at $3,634.
