Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Joseph Gregory Scurti, 24, an auto parts worker from Carson City, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for contempt of court. Bail was set at $2,500.

• Thomas Hugh Byington, 44, of Midvale, Utah, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of East Long Street on suspicion of felony attempted grand larceny, misdemeanor destruction of property, obstructing an investigation and trespassing. Also arrested was Lawrence Thomas Druce, 45 a roofer from West Jordan, Utah, on suspicion of felony attempted grand larceny, misdemeanor destruction of property, obstructing an investigation, trespassing, driving on a revoked license and possession of burglary tools. The two men were allegedly caught attempting to steal copper wire from NV Energy. They claimed to have come to town from Utah for that particular purpose. Byington is a registered sex offender out of Utah for sexual abuse of a child in 2003 and sexual activity with a minor in 1993. Bail for each was set at $25,000.

• Timothy Joseph Cave, 20, a maintenance worker from Carson City, was arrested at 4:37 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of Ruth Street on suspicion of three counts of gross misdemeanor possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, misdemeanor failure to yield to emergency vehicle, and two counts of criminal contempt. Bail was set at $8,687.

• Cesar Zamora-Rivera, 34, of Carson City, was arrested at 7:27 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Woodside Drive on suspicion of felony intimidating a witness, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $15,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

• Report at 4:28 a.m. of a man with a stab wound at the hospital. He said he'd been stabbed outside a Carson nightclub, but refused to speak more about it.

• Report of a protective order violation on Mountain Street at 3:14 p.m.

• Report of a protective order violation on Anderson Street at 5:05 p.m.

• Coroner call in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 7:29 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

• Deputies were called out to check the welfare of a woman at 1:53 p.m. on Sweetwater Circle. She was fine and officers left.

• Deputies returned to the Sweetwater Circle address at 3:20 p.m. after a man there allegedly threatened the woman with a screwdriver. A felony arrest was made.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:

• Arrest at 12:54 a.m. on Main Street in Gold Hill.
