Gregory Bruce McMaster 1939~2011

Gregory Bruce McMaster, 71, a resident of Northern Nevada since 1969, died January 26, 2011, at Renown Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Greg was born to Donald Alfred and Sylvia Marie McMaster on Dec. 4, 1939, in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Greg was an appliance repair expert, he owned and operated the Appliance Doctor for more than 35 years, serving all of Northern Nevada, Tahoe and beyond.

Greg went to his first garage sale as a teen where he bought the first of his very extensive antique collection. Our dad loved antiques, garage sales and "digging" old historic outhouses. Our mom and dad helped to run the Gold Hill lecture series at the Gold Hill hotel. Greg never met a stranger and had many friends.

Greg married the love of his life, Patricia, on Dec. 10, 1979. She preceded him in death in 2007. His parents also preceded him in death.

Greg is survived by his kids, daughter and favorite son-in-law, Donna and Mike Gray of Carson City, daughter Deborah Wells of Carson City; son David McMaster of Vancouver, Wash., son and daughter-in-law Dale Head and Winnie Ward of Grass Valley, Calif.; granddaughters Amanda Gray of Sparks, Jinna Gray of Reno, and Keira Gray of Carson City, Samantha Wells of Portland, Ore., Kimberly Schenk of Vancouver, Tiffannie McMaster of Sacramento, Calif., and grandson Connor McCleary of Carson City.
