Bullets finish second in tournament

The Nevada Bullets fell just short of capturing the Sertoma Collegiate Classic over the weekend.

After defeating the Knavoto Knicks 9-1 in the semifinal. The Bullets fell 16-15 to Pro Player Baseball.

The Bullets were within one strike of winning, before Pro Player hit a 2-run double to capture the tournament at Bishop Manogue High School.

No other information was available.

In the semifinals, Darrin Wiltgen pitched 4.1 innings giving up four hits. Chris Stocker pitched the final 2.2 innings allowing one hit.

Craig Merideth went 2-for-4 with four RBIs. Zach Hendrix was 4-for-4 with a triple. Brooks Klein was 2-for-4 with a homer. Colby Blueberg was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

The Bullets finished 4-1 in the tournament.
