Art exhibit celebrates summer

"Here Comes the Sun" art exhibit opens Friday at The Artisan Store at the Brewery Arts Center.

The exhibit, which runs through Aug. 15, celebrates the arrival of summer and features the work of its resident artists, Brewery instructors and advanced students. The Kid's Pottery group is also taking part and displaying work.

Art honoring Old Sol will be available in clay, glass, basketry, jewelry, and various painting mediums and available for purchase as well as viewing.

The public is welcome to the reception for "Here comes the Sun." 5-9 p.m. Friday in the Artisans Store.

The Brewery Arts Center Artisans Store features the works of artists of Northern Nevada and the Eastern Slope in a cooperative gallery environment.
