Fatal accident shuts down Highway 28 in both directions

One person has been killed in a head-on collision on Highway 28 in the area of Sand Harbor, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol

Trooper Mike Edgell said the accident happened about 3:33 p.m. and has shut down traffic in both directions.

Edgell said it's possible the number of fatalities could increase.

Traffic is being turned around in both directions.
