Obituary: Everet Layton Marrs

Everet Layton Marrs, 93, died July 17, 2011, in Gardnerville. He was born Jan. 3, 1918, in Windsor, Colo., to Earl and Vera Marrs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, and one grandson. He is survived by son E. Michael Marrs (Shirley); three brothers, Ralph Marrs, Bruce Marrs (Geneva) and Horace Marrs (Dorothy); two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A visitation will be at 9-10 a.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel in Carson City with a funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
