Albert "Sonny" Johnson died Tuesday at his home in Oroville, Calif. He was 58.
A longtime resident of Nevada, Sonny managed Country Homes in Silver Springs from 1998 to 2009, assisted by his wife, Diana. He enjoyed spending his summers at Lake Lahontan, camping and boating with his friends and family and was known for his barbecue skills, booming laugh and serving up his wife's famous Bloody Marys. Most important to him, was making sure his friends were having a good time.
He is survived by his wife, his children Curtis Johnson and Crystal Goff, both of Oroville, five grandchildren, his mother Juanita, three brothers and a sister.
A graveside service was conducted Friday at Oroville Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life at River Bend Park. Scheer Memorial handled arrangements. Flowers or condolences can be sent in care of Scheer Memorial, 2410 Foothill Blvd., Oroville, Calif. 95966.
