Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Rafael Jesus Casarez, 32, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 11 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on warrants for suspicion of felony uttering a forged instrument, obtaining money under false pretenses and burglary. Bail was set at $20,000.

• Nancie Marie Turner, 31, of Carson City, and Lori Lynn Stephens, 40, were both arrested at 8:12 p.m. Thursday in the 3300 block of Imperial Way, each on suspicion of felony intent to commit burglary and burglary. Bail for each was set at $25,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• A woman reported she found a large amount of hair in a trash can and a strong stench in the apartment at 8:37 a.m. in the 700 block of West Telegraph Street. The caller was concerned that there may have been a head attached to the hair. A deputy came and found that the stench came from a backed-up toilet and that the hair was from the tenant shaving his head.

• Report at 1:20 p.m. on Milliman Way of three suitcases stolen.

• Coroner call at 9:34 a.m. at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.

• A woman reported at 2:21 p.m. that her neighbor pointed a gun at her in the 3400 block of Roop Street.

• Coroner call in the 3400 block of South Carson Street at 5:37 a.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Misdemeanor arrest at 2:45 a.m. on Main Street in Fernley.

• Felony arrest at 8:42 a.m. in Mason Valley.

• Coroner call at 3:34 p.m. on Stope Road in Dayton.
