Enright, Ransom lead Aces to win

TACOMA, Wash.- Barry Enright threw six scoreless innings, and Cody Ransom hit a three-run double in the fifth, pushing the Reno Aces to a 3-0 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers Wednesday afternoon at Cheney Stadium.

Enright (2-2) dealt his third-straight quality start, scattering just three hits in a 104-pitch effort. He did not allow a hit until there were two outs in the fifth inning.

With the game scoreless through four, the Aces loaded the bases in the fifth with nobody out. After Brandon Allen popped out and Wily Mo Pena lined out, Ransom hit a bases-clearing double to right-center, giving Reno all the offense it would need.

Ransom was responsible for Reno's lone multi-hit effort of the day, finishing 2-for-4.

Pena singled in the first, running his road on-base streak to a Pacific Coast League-best 26-straight games.

The first-place Aces and Rainiers continue the series tonight at 7:05. All the action can be heard live in Reno on Fox Sports Radio 630 AM or online at RenoAces.com.
