Public meeting tonight on freeway corridor path
The public is invited to view a presentation, review display materials, and submit comments on the Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's Carson City Freeway Corridor Multi-Use Path Alignment Study.
The meeting will be in the lobby and the Bonanza room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.
The study examines potential alignments along the Carson City Freeway corridor for a multi-use path and identifies a preferred alignment. The proposed multi-use path would connect with the existing multi-use path near Northridge Drive and Russell Way to the north and run south along the entire length of the planned freeway corridor, terminating at the future interchange with Highway 50 West and Highway 395.
CAMPO and Carson City staff, along with the consultant hired to develop the study, will provide a brief presentation on the alignment alternatives, and will be available to answer questions and accept written comments regarding the study.
Materials will be on display beginning at 5 p.m. today and a presentation will commence at 5:30 p.m. Afterwards, staff will be available in an open house format until 7 p.m. to individually answer questions and provide information about the study. CAMPO staff may be contacted by phone at 775-887-2355 or by e-mail at Comments@CarsonAreaMPO.com.
