The Carson City Sheriff's Office will present information about its traffic enforcement activities to the Regional Transportation Commission when the commission meets Wednesday.

The information is important to the RTC as it relates to the traffic control devices of the street system.

The commission meets immediately after the adjournment of the Carson Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's 4:30 p.m. meeting Wednesday in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.

Commissioners also are scheduled to discuss or take action to:

• Accept an amendment to a contract with Swift Communications, titled JAC Bus Advertising Program, to expand the scope of work to include passenger shelter advertising.

• Approve revisions to the CAMPO/RTC Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program.

• Approve and recommend to the planning commission and Board of Supervisors amendments to the Unified Pathways Master Plan Map based on completed on-street and off-street projects along the freeway's southern corridor since the map's adoption in 2006.

• Give direction to staff regarding the maintenance responsibility for a portion of Sierra Vista Lane.

• Approve the submittal of a pre-application for transportation enhancement funding for the bike path improvements on the south side of East William Street from Saliman Road to just west of the freeway interchange.

• To award Russell Carpenter a certificate of appreciation in gratitude for his service on the RTC.
