A man whose body was found Saturday has been identified as 43-year-old Charles Michael Mose, a Washoe Tribal member, who has been missing since May 5.

Mose, 43, was last seen in the Stewart Indian Colony, where he had been visiting friends.

He reportedly left for a walk along a horseback riding path near the Carson River at the south end of Bigelow Drive in Carson City.

His body was found 1 p.m. Saturday on Incline Village General Improvement District land near the Carson River in northern Carson Valley.

The property is fenced and posted with no trespassing signs.

The cause of Mose's death has not yet been determined, but Douglas coroners said there were no signs of foul play.

It is unknown how long Mose had been at the location.
