Carson starts summer season Friday

The 18th annual Reno Knights Memorial Day Tournament gets under way with full slate of games.

There are 12 teams in the tournament, six in each division. each team is guaranteed five games.

The Carson Blue Jays, coached by Cody Farnworth, has been put in the Blue Division along with the Sierra Sun Devils, the Susanville Renegades, the Douglas Tigers, Spanish Springs and Damonte Ranch.

The Reno Knights. Reno Athletics, Truckee 62s, Reed Bombers, Greater Nevada Badgers and IBAC-Sacramento are in the Red Division.

Carson hosts Douglas at 5 p.m. on Friday at Ron McNutt Field.

On Saturday, Carson hosts Susanville at 3 p.m. and Spanish Springs at 6 p.m. On Sunday, the Blue Jays play bat vDamonte at 1 and at Wooster at 5 against the Sun Devils.

The championship game is set for 3 p.m. on Monday.
