Swap meet to benefit 'Hungry Kids'

Vendors are being sought for a swap meet in Mound House next month that will benefit in part Hungry Kids Healthy Foods a nonprofit which provides healthy alternatives to Carson City food closets.

The Super Swap Meet will be Dec. 3 and 4 at the Outdoor Toystore, 5 Affonso Drive, Highway 50 East in Mound House. Vendor setup will be Saturday from 6-10 a.m. Shopping Saturday and Sunday will be from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Toystore owner Terry McTimmonds will donate 50 percent of the door and half the vendor fees to Health Kids, said nonprofit founder Tim Salyer. Hungry Kids purchases wholesale fruits and vegetables to supplement the Ron Woods Family Resource Food Closet.
