At the September meeting of the Carson City Christian Ministerial Fellowship new officers were elected for 2011-12.

Unanimously selected were Michael Hurlbert (youth minister of First Christian Church) -president; James Peckham (executive director of F.I.S.H. and Children's Museum of Northern Nevada) -vice president; and Bruce Henderson (minister Airport Road Church of Christ) - secretary/treasurer.

A long-held tradition of the Ministerial Fellowship is to disperse the funds it collects as dues from members. This year's funds were divided among Friends in Service Helping, Community Pregnancy Center, and Circles Initiative.

The fellowship is open to those involved in Christian ministry and meets for breakfast the second Thursday of the month at Grandma Hattie's Restaurant, 8:30-9:30 a.m. Meetings consist of a devotional and a program presented by a group of local interest.

Members of The Carson City Christian Ministerial Fellowship provide prayers for the Carson City Board of Supervisors meetings, daily chaplains for the Legislature, and on-call chaplains for Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
