Thomas Bowdine Bayley, 85, known as Papa to his grandsons, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno following a brief illness.
He leaves behind his son, Steve Bayley; his grandson, Thomas John Bayley and his wife, Becky; his grandson, Matthew Hart Bayley; his sister, Jane Fey; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Mildred Bayley; and his brother, Jack Bayley.
Born on September 11, 1926 to George and Audrey Bayley, Tom was raised in Illinois where he would meet his wife, Mil. After serving in the military, he moved west to California and Nevada where he worked as a carpenter and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
His final resting place will be next to his wife in Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in his name.
