Lyon County sheriff's deputies found the bodies of two brothers in a Silver Springs home Saturday and are investigating what was originally reported as a possible homicide/suicide.
Deputies were called to 3040 Elm St. at 2:20 p.m. to investigate, and inside the home they found the bodies of Donald Coleman, 46, and his brother Daniel, 44.
"It appears the incident involved two brothers that lived at the residence," sheriff's Lt. Bryan Veil said in a statement.
"It appears both brothers died from gunshot wounds and had been dead for approximately one week."
Next of kin have been notified, and autopsies are pending with the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office, sheriff's officials said.
More information will be disclosed pending further investigation, Veil said.
