Carson boys lose to Reed

SPARKS - Reed scored twice late in the second half to knock off Carson, 3-1, Monday night.

The first half was a scoreless, and then Reed took a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 50th minute. Jon Guevara tied it for the Senators, but Reed took advantage of two Carson breakdowns defensively to score two more goals and get the win.

"In the second half, Reed started playing to their strength which is a lot of air balls, and we could not handle that," said Carson coach Mehdi Samii.

In JV action, Reed and Carson tied 1-1. Francisco Cabrera scored the Senators' only goal.
