Hometown Health unveils insurance plans

Hometown Health, Northern Nevada’s largest provider of health insurance, announces the launch of its individual and family plans.

Founded in 1988 and already serving more than 100,000 members throughout the region, the locally-owned, nonprofit health insurance company is proud to offer six different plans to suit a wide range of individual needs. Hometown Health’s new individual and family plans are available to residents of Carson, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, Storey and Washoe counties and include four Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and two Health Savings Account (HSA) plans. Benefits include preventive services and physician office visits, diagnostic services and lab work, hospitalization and prescription drug plans. Hometown Health members also receive access to Renown Health, northern Nevada’s largest integrated health network.

Hometown Health members have access to a Health Hotline where nurses are available to answer questions and help determine a course of action in case of medical uncertainty. The company’s Healthy Tracks program also provides members with the opportunity to take an active role in their health and wellbeing, while My Hometown Benefits allows members to view personal medical information, claims and explanation of benefits online, at any time.
