The Let’s All Work (LAW) Publications anti-drug information program is returning to town through a the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office and Churchill County School District partnership.

LAW offers an anti-drug program that augments Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), according to Sheriff Ben Trotter.

“This is an excellent source for supplementing what D.A.R.E. does,” Trotter said. “It gives some pretty interesting information and it’s really kept up to date as far as the new drugs (like Spice).”

“D.A.R.E. is great, but there are some things it doesn’t address that this program does.”

This marks a return to Churchill County for LAW, which previously existed in the early 1990s, according to Trotter.

The mission of LAW Publications for the past 30 years has been to educate children and adults on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse prevention.

The organization’s website — http://www.lawpublications.net/ — states: “Through the years we have expanded our mission to include education on other safety issues, such as identity theft, internet safety, domestic and gang related violence prevention.”
