More than 24,000 names were cleared off Nevada’s active voter list in November as part of a routine voter roll clean-up.

About 6,000 Republican and 12,000 Democrat registrations were removed because voters haven’t cast a ballot in two consecutive federal elections or moved without leaving a forwarding address for their mail.

Secretary of State records show that of the nearly 1.2 million active voters that remain in the state, about 42 percent are registered Democrats, 34 percent are Republicans and 18 percent are nonpartisan.

About 6 percent are members of smaller parties.
