Obituary: Casey W. McDonald

Casey W. McDonald was born on Sept. 14, 1961 in Schurz, Nevada to Wilfred and Beatrice McDonald. As a child, Casey grew fond of baseball and shared with his friends and family his love of the game. If the sun was shining, Casey could be found walking his faithful dogs or hitting the streets on his Harley. He taught his family the meaning of strength through his courageous battle with cancer. At home, surrounded by his loved ones, Casey's spirit left this earth on Jan. 15, 2013.

Casey is survived by his Wife Emilie Doyle, Son Travis (Hannah) McDonald and his Grandchildren Myles and Jaden McDonald, Parents Wilfred and Beatrice McDonald, Sister Karen McDonald. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Rachel Smith, Randy and Kimberly McDonald, Melanie Crutcher and great nephew Quinten Taylor, as well as beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Jan. 22, 2013 at 11:00AM at the Dresslerville Gymnasium, 1585 Watasheamu, Gardnerville, Nevada 89460. A private family burial will occur at a later date. Donations in Casey's name may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or a charity of your choice.
