The Lahontan Valley News’ paid subscription system for its website will be reinstated today.
All Access was suspended when the LVN launched its new website design on March 13. We wanted to give our readers a chance to navigate our new site and get used to how to find our content. We also needed to work out any problems when a site this large is entirely rebuilt. The changes we made were based on detailed analysis of our reader traffic history on our site.
Readers who have been and continue to be paying customers will have unlimited access to both the Nevada Appeal and LVN’s news, feature and opinion content. Readers who are not paid subscribers will only see a few lines of the story, and then they will be invited to subscribe if they want to read the full story. A small number of stories every day will continue to be free to all readers, and all of the advertising and calendar listings will be free.
Paid subscribers will need to log in to your account starting this afternoon in order to access the stories that are behind All Access. Your login will be the email address we have on file for your subscription. All you need to do is login with your email address and password. If you’ve forgotten your password, select the “forgot password” link at the bottom of the login box and we’ll email that information to you.
If you have any questions or need additional help, please send an email to digitalsupport@lahontanvalleynews.com, call 775-423-3088, or click on the Live Chat button on the Login page to chat online with one of our customer service representatives.
The Nevada Appeal/LVN continue to build the future of online news. We appreciate your loyalty and hope you will continue to be part of our emphasis to increase the content available online.
Furthermore, if LVN readers are having problems submitting their events to the Community Bulletin Board or Letters to the Editor, they may send those directly to news@lahontanvalleynews.com
Thank you, Steve Ranson, Editor
