Participants will enjoy the positive atmosphere that comes from learning and playing basketball at the University of Nevada. Participants will receive a camp T-shirt.

All camps will have excellent supervision and will be staffed with an athletic trainer. Camps are designed to enhance each player and provide instruction based on ability and skill level. Campers will be separated by age and skill level.

Girls soccer camp kicks off in July

The Nevada soccer program will hold an advanced team clinic from July 30-Aug. 1, head coach Dr. Melissa Price announced Wednesday.

The clinic is limited in registration to three girl’s high school teams and will be held at Mackay Stadium on the Nevada campus at a cost of $1,200 per team.

The camp runs from July 30 through Aug. 1 from 5-8 p.m. nightly. Teams may consist of 16-22 players and athletes must bring a ball, cleats, shin guards, water and a snack.

Teams will be coached by the Nevada soccer staff with sessions throughout the clinic and a nightly game between the teams. In addition to the general training and discussions, a goalkeeper-specific training session will also be offered.

The Nevada staff will also hold team “chalk talks” and strategy sessions as a part of the event.

Coaches interested in registration or for more information must contact assistant coach Kirk Nelson at knelson@unr.edu or 775-682-6934.

A non-refundable $200 deposit is required and due by July 1. No refunds will be given after the clinic has begun.
