Monday is Memorial Day, a federal holiday celebrated on the last Monday of May.
All federal offices are closed, and there will be no mail delivery. The Maine Street post office is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Naval Air Station Fallon is on a holiday schedule.
All state, county and local offices are closed. Monday still has garbage pick-up services.
Churchill County School District schools, Western Nevada College Fallon campus and private schools are closed on Monday.
Financial institutions are normally closed on Monday but check with your bank or credit union to verify their closure.
Memorial Day observances in Churchill County will be conducted at the following: Highland Village, 10 a.m.; Fallon Cemetery, 11 a.m.; Fallon Paiute Shoshone Cemetery, noon; and The Gardens, 1 p.m.
A Memorial Day ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
